Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert in the area of system administration
  • Help develop, document, communicate, and enforce a IT specific policies
  • Be responsible for the installation, configuration, and upkeep of servers and their applications
  • Support end users to resolve IT related problems and requests
  • Take ownership of server and applications on Windows and Linux systems
  • Work with other IT members to help solve complex IT issues
  • Manage end user machine patching, antivirus compliance, and other similar activities
  • Create, Manage and maintain Group Policy Objects
  • Assist in supporting the bring up of new laptops, accounts and other tasks for new employee onboarding
  • Assist in improving the onboarding/offboarding process by implementing relevant technology stacks (e.g. WSUS, MDT, AutoPilot, JAMF, etc)
  • Maintain and Improve standard corporate laptop images
  • Manage company's issue tracking, wiki and code repository systems (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, SVN, etc.)
  • Assist in managing company GSuite and Office365 platforms
  • Assist in managing and improving the company's Active Directory structure
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining IT Asset Inventory Tracking solution
  • Assist in managing the company's virtual infrastructure
  • Have experience working with AWS and Azure cloud environments, setting IAM roles, spinning up and managing new machines, etc.
  • Assist in defining, documenting and implementing IT processes and procedures
  • Provide recommendations and solutions on how to improve IT in our organization
  • Good understanding of Information Security fundamentals, with a desire to grow cybersecurity skillset


Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 4+ years experience in IT system administration or other industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Desktops/Servers, MacOS, and Linux servers
  • Enjoy solving a wide variety of problems across multiple hardware stacks
  • Work occasional off hours to help perform scheduled system maintenance, or to recover from unplanned outages
  • Self-starter with the mentality and the ability to seek out solutions to complex issues
