Summary

Due to our recent expansion we are looking for a Purchasing and Logistics Manager to order supplies and equipment based on the company’s needs, along with the shipping of those supplies to our various locations worldwide. The role reports into the Director of UK Operations.

This is a part-time role, 20 hours a week. Our offices are located on the MIRA Technology Park therefore your own transport would be essential.

Duties and Responsibilities


Purchasing

Managing and executing the end to end purchasing process

Responsible for managing new supplier setup for UK and EU suppliers.

Responsible for negotiation and implementation local contracts

Assisting in the compliance of company purchasing policy and targets

Responsible for the Stock control and Inventory system

Processing approval of supplier invoices

Assist with supplier and customer meetings

Logistics

Responsible for the end to end logistics of shipping engineering goods internationally (importing and exporting)

Plan, manage and evaluate UK logistic operations

General

Liaise with workshop staff to ensure all products arrive and leave in good condition

Assist in the creation cost and budgeting analysis

Work with an international, cross function team to implement an ERP system in the latter half of 2021


Required skills

Minimum 5 years’ experience within a purchasing role

Experience with logistics

Excellent written and verbal communicator

Excellent negotiation skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Proficient in Xero would be an advantage

Strong process management

The ability to work autonomously and think on your feet

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude
