Essential Functions

  • Complex mixed signal circuit design

  • Switching power supply design

  • Class D amplifier design

  • Ability to calculate and analyze power dissipation of various electronic

  • components guiding component and system design decisions

  • PCB layout

  • Electric motor design and operation

  • Develop validation and verification process

  • Clearly document and communicate results

  • Develop requirements providing parameters for key design decisions

  • Design for automotive EMC compliance

  • Capable of making complex system level tradeoffs

  • Conducts root cause failure analysis and recommends appropriate corrective action

  • Supercapacitor bank design


Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Preferred Candidate:

  • Automotive electronics design and validation

  • Experience with motion control

  • Familiarity with DFMEA

  • Proficiency with the following software packages:

  • Lab equipment experience:

  • Familiarity with the following specifications:

  • Deep understanding of automotive battery technology

  • Experience and understanding of sensor technologies:

  • Understanding of automotive suspension operation and tradeoffs

  • Electro-mechanical system design experience
